Our second session topic is Beyond the Classroom Walls, presented by Genelle Sedon, Director and Owner at C & G Tutoring.
In this session, hear from Genelle Sedon about her education to the barriers she was able to break. Genelle started as a journalist, went back for her Master’s degree in education. Genelle was hired two days before school started at Wilkes-Barre Area. At the age 27, she was an adjunct professor at King’s College, instructor for the Hispanic Outreach Program, and then, in May of 2019, Genelle launched C & G Tutoring with a Google Voice phone number and a Facebook page. She will discuss some highlights and lowlights of C & G Tutoring, and how the pandemic affected her business and how she adapted. Genelle will also discuss the balance of owning a small business, working full time, and being a mother of two and a wife.
